In our rapidly changing society we have words that come up and change meaning all of the time. Merriam Webster recently added over 600 words and meanings for some that we now use differently.
For example EGOT, GOAT and Snowflake.
EGOT- the winner of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
GOAT - Greatest Of All Time
Snowflake - someone who is overly sensitive.
